A friend of mind has great vision to change the way we are looked at and portrayed on television (we being "Us") She is in the process of launching a radio soap opera.... and well ill just let her speak for herself.....

Today, and more than ever, African Americans need a ground breaking show with some substance that will generate positivity, break myths, as well as stereotypes, and allow us to share the true "African American Experience" i.e. our slang, our music, our fashion, etc. And it's all in my show "Like Us".....

"Like Us" Q & A w/ creator Shirley Alice' Vernae Williams from Shirley Alice Vernae Williams on Vimeo.
